It' a slow start for everything this year...

So, as I have already told you I'm in Switzerland, or actually WAS is more correct! Yesterday evening about 10PM ish I hopped on the train to Italy. Walking up in Fiorenze is not to bad I guess <:D Today I'm exploring the city. I had a date with David just a couple of hours ago, he's not a shy guy! What more? Piazza del Duomo(pretty church at least from the outside), Ponte Vecchio(special bridge), Marcato Centrale(amazing food marked). I have seen some other stuff as well when I decided to walk around without map but since I got lost I don't know the names :) Hehe!

I have a thousand nice things to tell all of you about Switzerland as well but that is not going to happen now.

Oh! Important travel information: I'm going to a town called Perugia, between Florence and Rome where I plan to stay for a hole month. Why? I'm attending a language course studying Italian:) Si, Si!

Arrivederci!

Better late than never !?

I wanted to find time to start writing again before departure but that never happened :) Instead I'm telling you now that me and my backpack and sexy ass Acer computer is now cruising around in Europe, final destination is Perugia, Italy, 1th of February. There I'm attending a one month language course to try and pick up some basic knowledge... Time will show :) This is as far as my plan goes for now but at some point I will write about further plans!

So! Now I'm in Switzerland for 3-4 days. I have a friend here called Renato, for those of you that remember this is the guy I meet in Monterey and went to the aquarium with :) Today we got up really early to do some sightseeing, first Zurich then Bern. I'm only giving you two words here efficiency and systematic :) After a loooong day of sights I'm now stuffed, on the coach, from fondue and pineapple.

Lets not get ahead of our self here and give to much information away:) That's why I'm stopping now and saving some for another time...

It's the final count down! (for now at least...)

So, this is a sad one but I am still very excited!

For those of you how can't see why lets make this perfectly clear:
Sad part: The trip is over for now and I have to buy way more expensive alcohol.... hehe !

Happy part: I'm going back out in January (just so you know Fredrik.. hehe! ) AND I get to see all of my family and my Norwegian friends! HAPPY :D

To all the amazing people I have meet, who have fed me and given me their sofa, toothpaste or shampoo. You who gave me advice, good times and alcohol. Gave away a clean towel, lent me the washing machine, smiled or added me on facebook, Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

My door is always open in Norway, though you have to hurry if you want to catch me before I go back out :) Please, keep in touch.

Tomorrow I start the journey back to Scandinavia, (next to Norway... hehe!). My flight leaves San Francisco Tuesday 2th 12.30 (pm) and I will arrive in Norway 13.30(1:30 pm).

Hopefully I will make one or two notes on the blog during my stay in Norway but I can't promise anything.

By the way, I would appreciate very much if you just took a minute to leave your name on the blog, it's just really nice for me to have for later. Just make a comment on this supplication with your name, you don't have to write anything if you don't want to!

Untitled

The landscape between here and Las Vegas is mostly dry and desert ish, so I have seen a lot of sand when we were driving. Hehe. Our route was, Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita to a place in death valley to Vegas to Santa Barbara. A good week of traveling and a quite big area covered. Lucia and I worked good a traveling partners every other day driver and navigator. We decided not to bring a GPS and find our way with map and that worked 90% of the time. The other 10% were used to see the back streets of Vegas and more than planed of Santa Clarita. All in an a successful trip that we survived.

I'm really glad that I got to see Death Valley because it did not look like anything I have ever seen. I don't really know how to describe it properly to give you the right picture. What I of course realized is that the name is such a good description of the place. Dead, everything is dead! In the summer you can might spot a fish in a small river at one place but that is it guys! Dead and dry and sandy and no green stuff. We got up really early one of the days to see the sun rise over the sand dunes, that was a once in a life time experience. We went to places where everything is completely covered in salt, dried out and I have been 855 meters under sea level.

We drowe 1117 miles (US) and I have a new speeding record!
